FACTS

  • The first incarnation of KoRn was a band called L.A.P.D. (Love And Peace Dude) which released 2 EPs and featured Munky, David and Fieldy as well as a vocalist and another guitar player. A line-up change resulted in the current formation of the band as well as the name, KoRn, which was created by Jonathan Davis
  • Many stories circulate as to where the name, KoRn came from. One includes a story of 2 gay men overheard talking at a party about feltching and a corn kernel on one of their tongues. Another story that the band denies is Kiddie Porn combined to form, KoRn. Another is that Jonathan combined Kern and Coroner (Kern County Coroner's Office is where he used to work) to make the name KoRn. The truth may never be known
